Description

Nopungguk Homestay strategically  located 29 kilometer from Kota Belud town, with only 2 hours drive from Kota Kinabalu City. These homestays were located near to three villages, Kg. Gansurai, Kg. Podos and Kg. Tinata.

The name of Nopungguk Homestay  refer to nearest mount called “Mount Nopungguk” which lies at an altitude of about 1430m above sea level. The paranomic view ot the mountains and the rivers are magnificient. Beautiful nature can be seen here and you can find various plant species, including wild orchids, nepenthes plant, and pitcher plants. Paddy fields can also be seen in many parts of the villages.

The life of native Dusun people noticeable in their traditional dance called “Tigol and Sumayau”. Variety of traditional food can be tasted too. They used resources from the forest to make crafts, using tree bark to form rope, thread any many interesting souveniers such as baskets.
